We believe that it is the duty of all nations that value humanity to unite in the fight against this menace,” Modi stated.
The talks covered a wide range of issues, including economic collaboration, technological innovation, and defense cooperation. However, the shared concern over terrorism emerged as a key focal point. PM Modi’s remarks underscored India’s long-standing stance that there can be no double standards in the fight against terrorism, and that a united global front is essential.
Singapore’s Prime Minister Lawrence Wong also emphasized the importance of the partnership between the two nations in a world marked by turbulence and uncertainty. The two leaders agreed to a detailed roadmap for future cooperation, which will include new areas such as advanced manufacturing, green shipping, and civil nuclear energy, while strengthening existing ties in defense and technology. The meeting also marked the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India and Singapore, reinforcing the deep-rooted partnership between the two countries.
