Govt Bans 25 OTT Platforms, Including ULLU and ALTT, Over Obscene Content

In a significant move, the central government has banned 25 Over-The-Top (OTT) platforms, including popular ones like ULLU, ALTT, and Big Shots, due to their involvement in displaying objectionable and soft pornographic content.

The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting initiated this action through a direct notification to Internet Service Providers (ISPs), instructing them to disable public access to these apps and websites across India.

The government’s decision comes as part of its ongoing efforts to regulate online content and ensure compliance with Indian laws. The banned platforms were specifically identified for their objectionable advertisements, which were deemed inappropriate for public consumption.

The comprehensive list of banned applications and websites includes: ALTT, ULLU, Big Shots App, Desiflix, Boomex, Navarasa Lite, Gulab App, Kangan App, Bull App, Jalva App, Wow Entertainment, Look Entertainment, Hitprime, Feneo, ShowX, Sol Talkies, Adda TV, HotX VIP, Hulchul App, MoodX, NeonX VIP, Fugi, Mojflix, and Triflicks.
