Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has strongly emphasized the pivotal role of the youth in achieving Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ambitious vision of a “Developed India” by 2047. Speaking at the closing ceremony of the ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Inter-State Youth Exchange Program-2025’ in Kurukshetra on Friday, CM Saini expressed profound confidence that India’s development goals are attainable through the collective energy, talent, and determination of its young generation.
Addressing over 600 youth delegates from 23 States and Union Territories, CM Saini highlighted that the program served as a dynamic platform for cultural exchange, national integration, and mutual learning. He underscored India’s diversity as its greatest strength, stating, “Our diversity is our strength. Though your languages, food habits, and traditions may differ, your identity as Indians unites you all.” He urged the youth to become ambassadors of national unity and share their experiences in their respective home states.
Haryana’s Youth Affairs and Sports Minister, Gaurav Gautam, also attended the event and praised the youth’s participation in fostering cultural understanding and strengthening the national fabric.
Highlighting the state’s unwavering commitment to youth development, CM Saini noted that over 1.80 lakh young people have been recruited into government services through transparent, merit-based processes over the last ten and a half years. Additionally, more than 2,000 job fairs have been organized, facilitating employment for over 1.06 lakh youth in the private sector. The Chief Minister also mentioned the establishment of a dedicated MSME department aimed at boosting entrepreneurship and creating further job opportunities.
CM Saini shared five key “mantras” for youth empowerment: maintaining good health, pursuing education not just for degrees but for knowledge and skills, fulfilling civic responsibilities, upholding integrity, and using technology constructively. “Nation-building is a shared duty, and youth are at the forefront of shaping our future,” he asserted.
He further highlighted initiatives such as the Haryana Skill Development Mission, which has trained over 1.14 lakh youth in traditional and modern professions, along with schemes like Saksham Yuva Yojana, Drone Didi, and IT Saksham Yuva. Reiterating Haryana’s leadership in implementing the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, he stated that all universities and colleges in the state have adopted the policy. Haryana has also proudly established India’s first Skill University – Shri Vishwakarma Skill University in Palwal.
Saini urged the youth to embrace traditional knowledge while continuously adapting to new skills, reinforcing the idea that an empowered and skilled youth forms the backbone of a self-reliant and developed India. He also linked the vision of a “Viksit Bharat” by 2047 with the importance of a healthy and drug-free youth population, as highlighted during the Kaithal Half Marathon. The Chief Minister emphasized that Haryana is committed to playing a leading role in achieving this national goal through integrated policy-making and strategic initiatives, including the newly established ‘Department of Future’ which will focus on cutting-edge technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Quantum Computing, and Robotics.
