The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) has announced a major power outage across more than 90 areas of Bengaluru on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, due to urgent maintenance work by BESCOM and Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL).
The outage is expected to last between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, affecting residential and commercial zones across the city.

Reason for Outage
The outage is part of planned maintenance and infrastructure upgrades, including work on the 66/11 KV Koramangala substation and new line installations from Kuduri to Solur for the Gudemaranahalli Power Supply Centre.
BESCOM has urged residents to plan accordingly, especially those relying on uninterrupted power for medical equipment, business operations, or remote work.
