Residents of Bengaluru are advised to prepare for scheduled power outages on Saturday, September 13, 2025, as the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) carries out essential maintenance. According to BESCOM officials, the power cuts will affect more than 30 areas from morning to evening.
The disruption is a result of emergency maintenance work by the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) at the 220/66/11 KV HAL Substation. The power outage at this substation is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

BESCOM has stated that the maintenance is crucial for the upkeep of the power infrastructure to ensure a stable and reliable electricity supply in the long term.
