A dramatic incident unfolded at a film premiere in Mumbai recently, where actress Ruchi Gujjar was captured on video hitting producer Karan Singh Chauhan with a slipper. The video quickly went viral across social media platforms, drawing widespread attention.
Following the public altercation, Gujjar filed a police complaint against Chauhan, accusing him of fraud. In her complaint, the actress alleges that Chauhan approached her with an offer to become a co-producer for a Hindi television serial. Trusting his proposition, she reportedly transferred money to his studio’s accounts between July 2023 and January 2024.
However, according to Gujjar, the promised project never commenced. When she subsequently demanded the return of her invested money, Chauhan allegedly responded with threats. The Mumbai police have since registered a First Information Report (FIR) and have launched an investigation into the matter.
Ruchi Gujjar, who gained recognition as Miss Haryana in 2023 and has appeared in several music videos, now finds herself embroiled in a legal dispute that has brought her into the spotlight for reasons beyond her acting career.
