After a record-breaking theatrical run, Mohit Suri’s romantic drama Saiyaara is set to make its digital debut. Starring debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, the film will begin streaming on Netflix from September 12, 2025, according to a social media post reshared by Yash Raj Films’ casting director Shanoo Sharma.
From Box Office Sensation to Streaming Favorite
Released on July 18, Saiyaara has grossed over ₹541 crore globally, making it the second-highest-earning Hindi film of 2025. The film’s emotional storyline, chart-topping music, and breakout performances have captivated audiences, especially the youth.
Shanoo Sharma’s Instagram Reveal
While an official announcement from Netflix is still awaited, Shanoo Sharma’s Instagram story confirmed the streaming date by resharing a post from OTTFLIX that read:
“Streaming from September 12, Netflix.”
This puts to rest earlier speculation that the film might release closer to Diwali.
About the Film
Directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Yash Raj Films, Saiyaara follows the story of Krish Kapoor (Ahaan Panday), a struggling musician, and Vaani Batra (Aneet Padda), a passionate lyricist. Their love story takes a tragic turn when Vaani is diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease.
The film also features Geeta Agarwal, Rajesh Kumar, Varun Badola, Shaad Randhawa, and others in supporting roles.
