In a poignant journey to the heart of one of India’s most tragic events, actor Vikrant Massey recently visited the Godhra railway station. This site, infamous for the burning of the Sabarmati Express on February 27, 2002, remains a stark reminder of the horrors that unfolded that day. Ahead of the release of his upcoming film, “The Sabarmati Report,” Massey’s visit to the burned bogeys and the surrounding area was both a tribute and a quest for deeper understanding.
Dressed in casual attire, Massey walked through the station, absorbing the gravity of the place where 59 pilgrims and karsevaks lost their lives. The film, directed by Dheeraj Sarna and produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Amul V Mohan, and Anshul Mohan, aims to narrate the true story behind this devastating incident.
